As we journey back in time, one of the world’s fastest female sprinters, Sha’Carri Richardson, was suspended for a month by the USADA for violating doping rules while attempting to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She tested positive for THC (marijuana), resulting in a sanction. However, despite her disappointment at the temporary exclusion and the subsequent defamation, she advocates against repeating the same mistake as the Paris Olympics season begins.
The reigning 100m and 200m champion, Sha’Carri Richardson, diligently submitted her drug test sample for this season a few months before the grandiose Olympic Games. Though it was an inconvenience, it was an absolute necessity considering her previous disqualification, which subsequently voided her results at the 2020 Olympic trials. Now, she aims to pursue her goal for the 2024 Paris Olympics without any hindrances.

Last year in December 2023, the USADA had asked all athletes to submit some information about their whereabouts. Scared after this declaration and reminiscing her daunting past and her association with the USADA, Sha’Carri Richardson went vocal to announce, “There are many concerns even as an elite athlete myself I’m worried about because this will impact my career if I don’t understand what to do.”
But, slowly and gradually qualifying for every requisite, she is consequently etching her way closer to the Paris Olympics 2024. Sha’Carri Richardson is determined to triumph in the Summer Games with a vivacious plan she has, which she disclosed on her social media lately.
