Thunder’s Chet Holmgren Backs Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for NBA MVP Award

The 2024-25 NBA season is slowly upon us, and it is set to be yet another season filled with incredible storylines. Last season was the NBA’s 77th season, and this upcoming season promises to be one for the ages.

The Boston Celtics won the NBA title against the Dallas Mavericks, and Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic won his third NBA MVP award. Jokic has been the best player in the league for some time now, and while he was worthy of the award, many pundits and experts believed Oklahoma City Thunder superstar guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was robbed of MVP.
As always, the MVP award is up for debate, and that will be the case once again this season. A new year brings new opportunities, and many, including Gilgeous-Alexander’s teammate, Chet Holmgren, believes SGA’s time will soon come.

Holmgren appeared on Podcast P with Paul George and spoke highly of his teammate, saying he would put money on Gilgeous-Alexander winning MVP at some point in his career.
