For years, Saquon Barkley has shown how he is one of the most special players in the backfield, but the Philadelphia Eagles running back continues to do things we’ve never seen before.
His latest ridiculous highlight came in the Eagles matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday when Barkley broke a tackle and avoided another hit with a spin move before pulling off a reverse hurdle to pick up a few more yards.
It’s safe to say NFL fans were in awe as Barkley appeared to have eyes in the back of his head.
Barkley set the tone for the kind of season he was going to have in his first game with the Eagles when he rushed for 109 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Since then, he hasn’t looked back.
The seventh-year running back entered Sunday’s matchup with 766 rushing yards and five touchdowns, his rushing yards being the second-most in the league only behind Derrick Henry.
He’s on pace to have career-highs in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns as he played behind perhaps the best offensive line he has experienced thus far in his career.
His outstanding play has propelled the Eagles to a 5-2 start as they look to get back to the Super Bowl after last year’s first-round playoff exit.
