After last night’s loss to the Brooklyn Nets, the reigning champions fell to 15-18 for the season. In the current scenario, the Warriors are out of the play in picture. There have been flashes of the Steph Curry-led side being one of the most lethal basketball teams in the NBA. However, that hasn’t been enough to uphold their status as champions. And his response surprised the fans. Notably, the former Chicago Bulls guard said, “You are what your record says you are.”

This led to the fans going crazy. They said the reigning champions were ‘trash’. Moreover, some fans even demanded Kerr fix the situation by resorting to trades in the coming deadline.

The Golden State Warriors are in a complicated turmoil with Stephen Curry suffering a shoulder injury. Notably, they became the latest team to suffer significant injuries. Apart from Curry, their remaining offensive pillars, Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson are also dealing with injuries of their own. Losing out on a majority of their offense, the Bay has relied on their role players to take over. However, so far that hasn’t worked out in their favor.
On the other hand, they still lack a defensive anchor. While Draymond Green is great on the defensive end, he is past his prime. The Warriors made headlines by looking into players such as Jae Crowder to add to their defensive unit. With the trade deadline approaching, the champions might have to make changes to their roster to induce a reverse in their fortune this season.
