NASCAR fans’ family can’t hold their horses and are charged up for the start of the upcoming season. With all the preps and announcements, there is a lot of interesting news doing the rounds. Very Recently 2022 champion Ty Gibbs became the talk of the town.
Adam Stern from Sports Business Journal took to Twitter with his take on Monster Energy sponsorship for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion Ty Gibbs, who has decided to move to the NASCAR Cup Series this year. He wrote, “@MonsterEnergy will sponsor @TyGibbs in a “strong capacity” in his rookie NASCAR Cup Series campaign in 2023, per Monster executive Mitch Covington. He declined to give specifics, citing a forthcoming announcement, but the brand will have a fair number of primaries with JGR.”
Monster Energy was a sponsor in the past for Ty Gibbs, supporting him for the Xfinity Series Championship. As a company, they see him as a good investment. After all, the visibility of their brand is very much evident with Ty in the past. Taking it a level up, they are sure looking at taking this relationship further, yielding better returns in the future. That sure looks like a win-win for all. With Kurt Busch’s retirement, speculations around all the sponsorship going to Gibbs are on. The NASCAR fans have a different take on all this and have varied opinions about the Joe Gibbs Racing driver and this deal.

The young driver has a great legacy, and that comes with a lot of pressure. Avid fans of NASCAR know that being the son of the current team owner of Joe Gibbs Racing comes with its challenges and pressure. He dominated at the Xfinity Cup Series 2022 and won the championship. After going full-time in 2022, he got a chance to fill in for Kurt Busch a couple of times, which gave him a good start. However, this fill-in for Busch came in with a lot of pressure. Apart from this, the pressure of racing for his grandfather’s team, as well as the NASCAR Cup Series in 2023. Even after his father’s untimely death, he remained silent and showed up for the NASCAR awards ceremony. As of now, it seems that Ty is taking it well.
